Join us at Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church in Seattle where the Seattle Peace Chorus, directed by Frederick N. West, will build a song bridge spanning Eastern and Western classical traditions. For the first half of the concert, with guest artists South Indian violinist Amrutha Varshini Achalla, tabla player Anil Prasad, and composer and lead vocalist Richard Russell, the chorus will perform original kirtan music. For the second half, Amrutha, Anil, and a string quartet led by guest artist Matt Weiss will accompany our performance of movements from Beethoven’s Mass in C. The chorus will sing Maurice Duruflé’s “Ubi Caritas” and other compositions. Matt Weiss - first violin, Natalie Toida - second violin, William Goodwin - viola, Peter Lawson - cello, Darth Nilesen - double bass.
